The pride flag is a celebration of diversity and a visual reminder that WRDSB welcomes and supports each and every student – regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

We believe that our schools are safe spaces for everyone that walks through our doors. Our strategic plan emphasises that the well-being for all of our students and staff are met through a focus on inclusivity. We have several policies and procedures in place that speak to our commitment to equity and inclusion. Raising the Pride flag demonstrates this commitment to our students, staff, parents, caregivers, and community members.

We know that those who identify as 2SLGBTQI+ are at higher risk for experiencing bullying and harassment. Our school board will not tolerate this kind of behaviour. We will continue to create inclusive and safe spaces for anyone who enters any of our schools or buildings.
