Professional Development Day – Wednesday, April 10th, 2024
The Professional Development Day will be offered as scheduled on our ministry-approved school calendar. These days are provided by the Ministry of Education for staff to align planning and thinking with Ministry and Board data and research to assist with student success.
Student expectations for these days are:
All students will not attend in person or virtually and will have an opportunity to use their day to work on assigned coursework and/or catch up on outstanding assessments if required.
Instructional Support Days: Wednesday, April 17th, and Thursday, April 18th, 2024

Instructional Support Days will be offered as scheduled on our ministry-approved school calendar. We have found from our experience that these days can be tremendously beneficial to our students’ well-being and provide an opportunity for catch-up and deeper understanding of the topics covered in class. Instructional support days occur at approximately the midpoint in the semester.
Possible learning opportunities could include assessments (which could require in-person attendance), performances, conferences, completion of assignments, and meetings with collaborative groups, as determined by each course teacher.
- Students will be required to attend either in person or remotely
- ACE students will attend school with regular programming and follow regular attendance procedures
- Transportation will run at regular times
