As previously indicated, Blended Learning Days are on the following dates,

  • Wednesday, September 25, 2024 
  • Wednesday, December 04, 2024 
  • Wednesday, February 26, 2025 
  • Wednesday, May 07, 2025 

Secondary teachers will be engaged in Professional Development to support the expansion of destreaming and single streaming. For students, these days will be similar to our Instructional Support Days, where students are not required to attend in person but will have learning provided through the virtual classroom and meetings with their teachers. Attendance will be taken, but in-person attendance will be optional on these days.

  • A supervised study space will be available in the morning for students who wish to attend.
  • Blended Learning Days are instructional days.  
  • Attendance for the day will be taken during the afternoon synchronous portion of the day.  Students must engage either online or in person during this time.
  • ACE students will attend school with regular programming and following regular attendance procedures.
  • Transportation will run at regular times.

 

        Blended Learning Day Schedule
8:10 am – 10:45 am

Remote – ASYNCHRONOUS Learning

Students are to log in to their class Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and complete the work provided by their teachers for all of their courses. 

All 4 classes have asynchronous materials posted for approximately 35 min. 

Staff will participate in the PD session.

Students in ACE classes will follow a normal schedule.  All other students attending in person will be in a supervised study area.
10:45 am – 11: 45 am Lunch

Learning in the afternoon is REMOTE and SYNCHRONOUS.  

Teachers will be available to meet with students online through the VLE as per the schedule below.
