Students at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School teamed up for a winter clothing drive to help students stay warm.
The Leadership class has partnered with the school’s Fashion Club to collect donations like jackets, scarves, and gloves for those in need. The goal is to support students who may not have the means to buy new winter wear.
The generosity won’t end with the school.
Any surplus items collected will be donated to shelters in Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo for individuals experiencing homelessness. This collaboration reflects the school’s commitment to both students and the broader community, ensuring that everyone can face the winter months with warmth and dignity.
The winter clothing drive will greatly benefit students in need at the school by providing access to warm clothing they may not otherwise be able to afford.
The purchase of jackets, hats, and gloves can be costly, leaving some unprepared for the cold. The free winter clothing drive ensures that every student has the chance to stay warm and comfortable throughout the winter. It allows students to focus on their education without worrying about basic necessities.
We appreciate the generous donations of much needed winter clothing. Every item collected provides warmth and comfort to individuals in need, while fostering a sense of community solidarity. Thank you to those who participated in this meaningful initiative to help spread warmth, compassion, and hope throughout our community.
