All students are expected to complete the Ontario School Screening Tool each day before attending school and must adhere to the direction provided.

Although the mask mandate has been lifted in Ontario, there are still certain circumstances where students are required to wear a mask. The following masking requirements are in addition to any self-isolation requirements.

When must a student wear a mask? For how long must a student wear a mask?
After international travel For 14 days after arrival in Canada
If a household member of a COVID-19 case For 10 days after the date of last exposure to the COVID-19 case
If identified as a non-household close contact of a COVID-19 case For 10 days after the date of last exposure to the COVID-19 case
After developing symptoms or testing positive For 10 days after symptom onset or date of positive test, whichever came first

During the period of time that the student is required to wear a mask, they must also:

  • avoid activities where they need to take off their mask (for example, playing a wind instrument in music class or removing their mask for sports)
  • not visit anyone who is immunocompromised or at higher risk of illness
  • not visit any highest-risk settings (for example, hospitals or retirement homes)
